Doesn't it ever get tiring when you are trying your best to explain something to someone and they just will not come to understand what you are talking about? I know that that statement definitely applies to me. However, when preaching the good news of Jesus to someone unsaved, I get a different kind of understanding. You can only understand the Word of God and know Jesus Christ with wisdom given genuinely from the God the Father. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." -John 14:6.
However, I will say that I have been cursed at and have been called atrocious names because of my testimony for Jesus and because I tell people who He really is. Unsaved people cannot stand hearing the Good News that Christ is very real and that he saves. The very thought of Jesus Christ; just the name, may I add will convict them of their sins. People today do not want to be convicted of their sins. They want to feel as good about themselves as possible. But No. All of us need to be convicted of our sin. And I mean ALL. If the Bible were false, than when it comes to dinner time, just throw it aside and watch it on T.V. like you watch all that other garbage on T.V. By the way, there are some pretty interesting characters in the Bible. The devil, magical angels. Who wouldn't like it? I have proclaimed the Gospel to someone who said that they will stab themselves if they hear it again. If the Bible were just a fairy tale, then why would anyone allow a fairy tale to cause them to "stab themselves?" It doesn't make sense. But they won't understand the truth because the Bible convicts them of their sin and because they currently stand unsaved, it condemns them to Hell. That is why unbelievers are against the Bible. If I were talking about Confucion are Buddhist writings, they would just say "I'm glad that you are interested in your religion Alexander." However, when I proclaim the truth which is written in Gods Holy, Infallible Word, they don't respond like that but rather on the contrary, they respond with anger. Deep down in their hearts, they KNOW that Jesus Christ is alive and well and that everything that is said about him is true.
Notice that Christians love to hear about the Bible. The Old Testament all the way to Revelation. It's supernaturally inspired and preserved by God. Nonbelievers however hate any thought of the Bible. They hate it with a passion. You know why? Because they love their sins and don't want to be told how to live. The truth of the matter is this, True Christianity is not about do's and don'ts. It's about your eternal salvation which is sealed in the Blood of Christ. How to live is what you do after you become saved. Not the other way around. That's the problem of today. A lot of Christians falsely believe a heresy that if you are a good person, you go to Heaven and if you are a bad person, you of course go to Hell. This is false doctrine. Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" By grace we are saved. Not through giving to the Church. "But Alexander, I gave Two Thousand dollars to the people in Haiti." Guess what my friend: If you're not doing it with a heart for God, it doesn't mean a thing. And if you're giving to the church yet unsaved, you will not get saved that way. Salvation is a gift. You don't pay for a gift. The giver does. My brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ is the giver and he gives us eternal life with him forever. How do you become saved then? Receive the gift. "I know there has to be something we can do". No there is not. The Bible says we have all fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We don't match up. We aren't good enough. We will never be. You have to be absolutely perfect to enter Heaven. Of course, natrually none of us are. But because Jesus Christ is, only He could enter into Heaven. But God loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting live -John 3:16.
